790 Arlington Circle, Southern Novato- Sold Over Asking $1,569,000
Welcome to 790 Arlington Circle
This tranquil cul-de-sac home, located in a lovely Southern Novato neighborhood, includes a pool, decks, views, more decks and more views! Masterfully remodeled by a meticulous homeowner over 24 years, over 3,400 sq. ft. of living space (per tax records), Move-In-Ready!
The grand entry opens to beautiful hickory hardwood floors and a magnificent formal living room with expansive forest and bay water views. The living room’s high-vaulted, open-beam ceiling gently connects through French doors to the picturesque formal dining room. This level has three patio decks: kitchen, dining, and formal living shared with the Master Suite. The high-vaulted ceiling continues into the beautiful, brightly lit, eat-in kitchen. Cook in harmony with garden views while staying cool via remote operable skylights and blinds. A deck off the kitchen, large enough to dine on, overlooks the pool with stairs that lead to the BBQ landing and lavish pool, decks and yard. The kitchen, an entertainer’s delight, was remodeled in 2006: large maple, butcher-block island, stainless steel appliances, five-burner gas cooktop with recessed extractor fan, dual oven, warming drawer, under counter wine fridge, granite countertop, oversized stainless steel sink, prep/bar sink, dual disposals and abundant storage.
The Master Suite has a marble gas fireplace and view deck with plenty of room to sun bathe. The incredible view from the large spa bath may distract you from the separate shower, water closet, bidet, dual sinks, and cedar lined walk-in closet. The staircase, hallway and bedrooms all enjoy premium deep carpeting. Before going downstairs, note the Italian, cobalt blue, glass sink with designer accents in the entryway powder room.
The spacious lower floor features an incredible family room and three bedrooms (potential to add a bath for a second suite). One bedroom, the large bath, the laundry room and the family room have direct access to the very large lower deck that was built to accommodate a sunken spa. A control cabinet in the family room integrates: a six-room sound system with individual room control panels, outdoor speakers, and a family room surround sound system. The laundry room was recently remodeled with tile floor, maple cabinetry, in-wall iron, board and storage.
No shortage of room to entertain and play on the multi-level, freshly refinished, Ipe wood decks or under the shady cedar pergola/wisteria arbor. Steel and TruVue glass railings thoughtfully adorn the home for unobstructed seated enjoyment of the views. The front of the home features a pond; a pool cover and mesh pool security fences are included. Relaxing comes naturally in this low maintenance, tranquil backyard that features majestic oak trees, and a fenced side yard dog-run potential. The pool was refurbished in 2001 with a Pebbletek finish and has hillside passive solar. On the roof owned, not leased, solar panels. The garage is ready for EV charger. You may need a tour guide to find the hidden “train” room, and all the extra storage. Two attic fans provide additional cooling, equipped with central A/C!
A treasure, gorgeous views, gardens, easy access to freeways, schools, and shopping. An entertainer’s delight on a coveted yet little know cul-de-sac. A magical oasis, lovingly cultivated by conscientious homeowners awaits your discovery.

Novato is set among a landscape of rolling hills and oak trees
Novato is the northernmost city in Marin County, California, and is located approximately 29 miles north of San Francisco and 37 miles northwest of Oakland. Novato, which covers 28 square miles, has a population of nearly 53,000—a density about one-half of San Rafael, and nearly one-third of Petaluma or Vallejo. Novato has a rural atmosphere largely because of its low population density and the high amount of open space and parks in and near the City.
Novato has more than 3,600 acres of open space, making it a haven for hiking and mountain biking. The views from the 1,558 foot high Mt. Burdell are outstanding. Novato has two public golf courses, a 16,000 square foot skate park and a network of 27 oak-studded parks. Novato’s Stafford Lake Park, a 139-acre expanse is a major attraction for visitors and residents who enjoy fishing, hiking, biking or day camping. Bird watchers and wildlife observers are also drawn to Scottsdale Marsh, Deer Island Preserve and Pacheco Pond Wildlife Area. Slightly north of Novato, is the 900-acre Olompali State Park.
The history of Novato dates back to 1300 when Miwok Native Americans lived in villages at the base of Mount Burdell. The history of this early culture is celebrated in two fascinating sites in Novato, the Marin Museum of the American Indian and Olompali State Park, which is the site of the first Spanish colonial house believed to have been built in Marin County.
Novato’s restored Grant Avenue has made downtown Novato a welcoming place for visitors and residents to shop and dine. The Vintage Oaks Shopping Center, anchored by Costco and Target, includes more than 50 retail stores and restaurants. Well-known high technology companies have made their home in Novato, including one of the foremost non-profit, biomedical research institutes in the world and the first independent research facility in the U.S. to focus solely on aging and age-related conditions, the Buck Institute for Aging, a prominent complex on Mt. Burdell designed by famed architect I. M. Pei.
Novato’s business mix includes corporate headquarters, state-of-the-art technology companies, and a variety of retail centers. The Novato Unified School District is the City’s largest employer with approximately 1,280 employees and it serves over 8,000 students in kindergarten through high school in eight elementary, three middle, two high, and three alternative schools.
